Basic Vs. Advanced Lab Testing

One of the most common questions we hear is “Why didn’t my doctor test me for this?” If you’re like most of our clients, you may have received a prescription for basic lab testing from your doctor which may have provided a medical diagnosis, but it did not provide the information about what actually caused the medical condition or symptom in the first place.

With basic lab testing, we are trying to find lab biomarkers which provide a medical diagnosis to our issues. However, these lab biomarkers rarely get to the root cause of what’s causing the problem, they usually just provide a diagnosis. Do you want just a diagnosis, or do you want to dig deeper and actually find the root cause of the health issue?

Root Cause ID prefers to use both basic and advanced lab testing biomarkers to help create the full picture of what’s happening in the body. We analyze basic lab biomarkers as it provides us clues with a medical diagnosis. But then we would like to add specific advanced lab testing biomarkers based on your health concerns because this helps us dig deeper into the actual cause of the problem.
